About this job
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take a leading role in the responsibility for all aspects of mechanical design of water processing plants. You will liaise with clients and internal engineers to ensure compliance and to design and integrate the mechanical elements into the overall plant.
You will communicate with site managers and commissioning managers and review supply-chain design documentation while undertaking risk assessment and complying with good manufacturing & plant engineering processes.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Formal education (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or BEng/MEng Degree) and multiple years’ experience within the water sector
- Knowledge and experience of equipment and technologies used within the water treatment industry
- Strong supervisory and liaison skills between key stakeholders
- Experience with WIMES and manufacturing engineering processes
Having chartered registration in Mechanical Engineering and experience in new product development methodologies will be considered an advantage.
