Our client is a French company internationally recognised as the leading expert in standard and custom designed analytical laboratory furniture (LC, MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, Flow cytometry, Liquid handling, Electron Microscopy…).


Their products are designed and manufactured to ease the day-to-day use of their customers analytical instruments. They provide many features and accessories that greatly improve working environments.


They are currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager for their North American subsidiary.


In this key role, you will be responsible for developing a network of prescriptions, fostering relationships with potential clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving their growth strategy forward. You will analyze market trends and customer needs to develop targeted approaches that resonate with various segments. Your efforts will directly contribute to the expansion of the services and products, enhancing market presence and increasing revenue. You will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive and effective approach.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential partnerships (OEM, Prescriptions, End-Users)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients, by customer visits and by attending events such as conferences & exhibitions (about 10 events per year across North America)
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and revenue.
  • Deliver presentations to potential clients and partners.
  • Build and develop a strategy for North America business development,
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align strategies and campaigns.
  • Technical & Commercial project follow up (for the biggest projects on your territory), smaller projects can be handled with the support of a sales assistant
  • Maintaining our CRM up to date

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales management, preferably within the life science industry, or laboratory furniture
  • Technical skills with the ability to explain and understand how to bring added value to our customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent English required), with a knack for persuasive presentations
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and energetic, and a team player with a positive attitude.
