About this job

Our client is a multi-national Pharmaceutical organisation, who are currently seeking a Head of Pharmacology to join their operations in Cambridge.

As Head of Department, you will spearhead discovery research from early development and project inception to pre-clinical efforts and first in human clinical trials. You will manage teams of Scientists and liaise across departments to provide strategic input into the expansion of our client’s drug discovery portfolio.

To be considered for this opportunity you will possess:

• BSc, MSc or PhD in relevant Scientific discipline
• Proven experience progressing small molecules through the different phases of Discovery into Optimisation and into Pre-clinical Drug Discovery
• Demonstrable experience in an industry setting, with experience and knowledge of translational pharmacology
• Experience managing teams of Scientists and program teams
• Excellent communication skills

This position will be based onsite in Cambridge and for your work you will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary, generous OTE scheme (15%). Our client offers a vibrant and dynamic working environment in an exciting, fast-moving time for biology.
