Excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced GC & GC-MS Scientist to join a reputed leader in the Scientific instrumentation sector as a Separation Science Account Manager covering the Southern half of France.

Our client is recognized globally as a leader in the development of high-quality analytical chemistry equipment and consumables.

They are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Instrumentation Account Manager to represent our client’s separation science portfolio of GC-TOF-MS and GCxGC TOF-MS instruments for both nominal and accurate mass.

In this home-based role, you will be responsible for identifying leads and working on opportunities through the sales funnel to order. The objective is to grow revenue and unit sales across the Southern territory of France.

In this newly created role due to expansion, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing action plans
  • Prospection, generation and follow-up of leads
  • Technical and commercial follow-ups with customers
  • Working closely with customers to ensure they have the correct solutions, support and assistance required
  • Attending talks, conferences and national & international meetings

An important part of your time will be spent in customers laboratories, where you can discuss their needs and suggest the most relevant solutions to their challenges.

  • To be considered for this exciting role, you will have:
  • BSc, MSc and/or PhD Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar subject
  • Solid experience using GC-MS, GCxGC and/or GC-TOF-MS systems
  • Fluency in French and strong command of the English language, any other language is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, be a people-person with a strong business acumen
  • Previous account management/sales experience would be a strong advantage although all candidates with a relevant technical background and desire to move into a commercial role will be considered.

You will have a company car and can be based anywhere in the southern part of France (Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux, etc...) as long as you are willing to travel to customer and prospect sites in your assigned territory.
