About this job

Our client is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry, serving customers worldwide to provide low carbon electricity through nuclear generation.

Due to continued growth and thanks to solid financial back ups, they are looking for an experienced and motivated R&D Manager to technically manage the assessment of options and delivery of irradiation capabilities as part of their ambition to further vertically integrate into the supply chain of stable and medical isotopes. As part of a system development and implementation, you will manage the interface with suppliers and assess physical separation technologies beyond gas centrifuges.

The successful candidate will act as the expert on irradiation technologies, ion sources and other physical enrichment technologies apart from gas ultra-centrifuges. You will perform technical assessments on projects and provide inputs to the Head of R&D and Lead Enrichment Manager to facilitate project priorization.

You will also support the identification of new project opportunities and execute the planning, mobilisation and delivery of R&D projects.

To be successful, the right candidate will possess:

-A Masters and/or PhD in Physics (or closely related subject)

-Experience working with accelerators and ion sources

-Experience managing R&D projects (structure, budget, execution, reporting) and coordinating teams to deliver projects across international boundaries

-Experience working with suppliers, internal and external partners and foster strong relationships

-Previous experience with medical isotopes would be a strong advantage

The first interview will be a Teams conversation with the hiring manager followed by an on-site interview.

This is your chance to join a growing organisation in a challenging position with excellent career progression opportunities.

NB: These positions can be based in Germany or in The Netherlands. Due to the nature of the business, the successful candidates will have to reach a high level of security clearance.
