About

David gained his BSc in Chemistry and then decided to continue his academic studies – gaining a PhD in Polymer Engineering (sponsored by ICI). He commenced his industrial career in 1992 with VG BioTech - working as a Mass Spectrometry Global Technical Sales Specialist. In 1995 he joined AromaScan – working in a Worldwide Sales capacity with electronic nose technology. In 1998 he re-joined the Mass Spec world with Waters – continuing with frontline technical sales. After four happy years with Waters, David decided to leave and co-found VRS, focussing on niche scientific recruitment with a primary focus on Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry roles. David has since led the growth of VRS – building a highly capable, talented team of scientific recruiters with offices in Greater Manchester (UK) and Greater Boston (USA). Outside of work David’s passions are sport and socialising with friends and family!
